The IFA is Ireland’s largest farming representative organisation, who work to protect and defend the interests of Irish farmers in all sectors. They represent Irish farmers at home and in Europe, lobbying and campaigning for improved conditions and incomes for farm families. They also provide representation, support and advice to members on an individual basis.
The IFA has a mass membership with over 87.000 farmers contributing to the Association. A strong united membership provides the strength and financial resources to ensure that IFA delivers for Irish farmers. IFA is a democratic association, organised in branches, County Executive and National Committees. The Association’s 947 Branches are recognised as the fundamental unit of the organisation, playing a vital role in IFA’s countrywide network, reaching into every parish across rural Ireland and maintaining their mass membership. Through their democratic structure, each member can have their say.
